Samsung sends ‘snack kits’ with fruits and chocolates to striking Indian workers: report
For nearly a month, approximately 1,000 Samsung workers in Chennai have been on strike. Samsung is providing refreshments in an attempt to persuade them to call off the strike.

Employees at the Chennai-based Samsung Electronics manufacturing facility have been holding protests for increased pay and union recognition for almost a month. The Frontline stated that Samsung's output has been cut by 80% in advance of the holiday season, which is a critical time for the sale of household appliances, due to the strike spearheaded by the Samsung India Workers Union-Centre of Indian Trade Unions (SIWU-CITU).
As the strike is now going into its fourth week, one of Samsung's strategies for breaking the walkout is to provide snack packages to its striking employees, Frontline reported.
